Instead of a long, boring bio about all of my professional accomplishments, I’m just going to list some facts about me.
I write under my maiden name, Hendricks. The only people who call me by my legal name are medical professionals and the IRS.
Hometown: Cape Girardeau, Missouri
Current city: A suburb of Austin.
Marriage status: Married for five years to a charming foreigner from Denmark that is a diehard Red Sox fan.

Siblings: I actually have one half sister and eight stepsiblings, plus a cousin that I consider a sister of sorts.
Education: I earned my Bachelor’s in Journalism in 2009.
Published my first column in a local newspaper in January of 2004. It was about my grandmother’s significant other, Ed.
Wrote for the same newspaper during high school and college, completing my senior internship there.
I also did an internship in Xenia, Ohio.
For several years I did some ghostwriting, which helped me develop my writing style and process.
Favorite TV Show: The Golden Girls.
Favorite book: Wish You Well by David Baldacci.
Favorite movie: Steel Magnolias.
Person I admire the most: Carrie Fisher.
